The First Two Weeks

Trace
2 Week Stats
Weight - 7 lbs
Length - 20 1/2 inch
Still a bit jaundice

The first two weeks of being a mother has been...tiring but absolutely phenomenal. Trace makes me smile pretty much all day. He is a very good boy and only throws the occasional temper tantrum. He sleeps for about 2 to 3 hours at a time and feeds every 2 hours. We are still sunbathing every once in a while. He makes a quirky Zoolander face (if you don't know who Zoolander is...it is from a really silly movie). The first week, Trace didn't cry much, only when he was hungry or getting his diaper changed. The second week is a different story. He has found his set of lungs and knows how to use them! He has a short temper. He lifts and moves his head very well, looks around at everything and is very alert. His arms move constantly which makes it hard to calm him down during a breastfeeding session. He loves to be held, loves his swing, loves the sun, and loves his Daddy. Pretty much a perfect two weeks if you ask me!

The Zoolander Face

Loves his arms to be out and free!

Thanks for the pictures on the blog. Boy do I live for them. He is a "little bit" but so sweet. I can't wait to get my turn holding him.

I can't believe Meredith remembers "Blue Steel." That makes me laugh.
